It’s that time again! We are making plans for the 2017 McNair Family Reunion. For those who were present, we had such an awesome time again last year. Prayerfully, the Lord will allow us to come together again on May 26-28, 2017 in the beautiful Outer Banks, NC.
I have blocked rooms at the Sea Ranch Resort Hotel located at 1731 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948. The hotel room rates are $160/night plus tax for Oceanside rooms; $205/night plus tax for Oceanfront rooms. The tax rate is 12.75%. Pricing is based on double occupancy and a $10 charge per additional person will be added to the bill. The rooms require a two-night minimum stay. I have reserved a block of rooms. You may make your reservation by calling 1.800.334.4737 and use the code McNair Family Reunion by March 25, 2017 in order to guarantee accommodations at the rates quoted. When making your reservation, you will be required to make a deposit equal to the first night’s stay to hold and confirm requested dates and room types. If you make your reservation after this date, your rate will be much higher.
Our plans for this year’s reunion are as follows. Hotel check-in will be Friday, May 26, after 4:00 p.m. From 7 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., we will meet in the Sea Ranch Resort Event Board room for our Meet and Greet. There you will receive your itineraries, t-shirts and hor' oeuvres. Then on Saturday morning, breakfast will be on your own. At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, we will meet at the Jockey’s Ridge Auditorium located at milepost 12 on the Highway 158 Bypass (South Croatan Highway) for our Family Fun Day which will include a day of fun and games followed by a picnic in the park. Free time begins at 3:00 p.m. You may go shopping, or find other attractions that may interest you. On Sunday morning, we will meet in the Sea Ranch Resort banquet room from 8:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. for our Farewell breakfast.
The total cost of this year’s reunion will be $56 per person for ages 13 and older; $40 for ages 4 to 12; and Free for ages 3 & under. This price includes the Meet and Greet, Family Fun Day & Picnic, and the Farewell Breakfast. You may also order t-shirts again this year. T-Shirt prices are $15 for adult sizes and $12 for youth sizes. You may pay online at www.jagmcnair.myevent.com but you will pay $3.00 more on this site.
Please send your money order payable to Dianner Moore 1212 Mitchell Dr. Elizabeth City, NC 27909 by April 1, 2017. It is imperative that you pay by the deadline in order that all deposits may be paid as necessary. It is very hard to take care of necessary business for the reunion without timely responses.
